Lo! It’s an absolutely tiny email from me.
I had lots of lovely feedback about the last mail-out - apparently my quavering about the Fringe touched a few nerves - so thank you! Well, the festival looms overhead now. In the lead-up I’ve been relentlessly spewing out soundbites for Q&As and features for online blogs - the best of which is probably this very fun bit of writing I got to do for the brilliant comedy newsletter LMAOnaise (which you should all subscribe to now, particularly alternative comedy fans) - in which I elucidate some pieces of Everyday Magic. Check it out!
Otherwise, it’s full steam ahead to the city of Edinburgh - Disney’s answer to Glasgow. I’m taking a painfully early train up there on Monday morning to go and plaster pictures of my face all over the city’s gorgeous gothic surfaces - ahead of my first show on Wednesday. To be perhaps too honest: I am not a big TV comedian, I do not have a heaving great online following - in fact, my ‘fanbase’ if it can be called as much, is you, reading this email right now - and this show I’m doing is probably the most vulnerable thing I’ve done on stage ever. So if you’d like to buy a ticket to my Fringe show, or if you know anyone going to the festival, please do recommend me! Every little helps (to coin a phrase!) and if you’ve ever enjoyed anything I’ve written here, you’re bound to enjoy me yelling it all into a microphone in a plush, ventilated shipping container. Wish us all luck!

Obviously there’s also tickets available for all those other dates too as part of my tour. You can find them here!
Feeling generous?
If you’ve got anything spare, please consider giving to one of these Palestinian charities…
Medical Aid for Palestinians - if you haven’t already donated to this (or another Palestinian charity) now is the time! What is going in Gaza is absolutely indefensible - and was completely avoidable, a man-made atrocity. We all have a moral obligation to do anything we can - the very least is sharing the message, but if you can, please donate!
All Our Relations - I heard about this charity from comedian Jen Brister who has been incredibly restlessly bringing this charity to many people’s attention - they are doing exceptional work in caring for displaced Gazan families. Please give if you can!
If you have a charity close to your heart, however big or small, and want to include it here {or you wanna get in touch for whatever reason!} - just send us an email benpope86@gmail.com
